For those visiting the region, the Uíma River Walkways are undoubtedly a stop to consider, especially on the hottest days.
In total, they are about 4Km for each direction, most of which are integrated by a large group of trees and always following the river.
Although there are several entries, we recommend starting at one of the two Uíma Walkway Parking Lots (one perpendicular to Rio Uíma Street and the other perpendicular to Principal Street), located at the ends of the walkways. There are other entrances, but these are the ones where you can leave your car most safely and easily.
the Uíma River walkways are currently about 4km each way
From here, the walkways start with just one path which, through twists and turns, follows the River Uíma and shows the landscape of this region. At some points there are wider areas where you can rest, listen to nature and enjoy the shade that accompanies the vast majority of this route.
Along the way, you will find forks that lead, for the most part, to other entrances to the walkways, with the main path and the path to one of the accesses being easily identified.
These are one of those walkways that we highly recommend for those staying in the region: not only are they great in summer thanks to the shade, but there are plenty of rest areas, various information panels indicating the fauna and flora in the area and an observation tower.
And, of course, as is common in this type of area, there is a picnic area and equipment for exercising. Just bear in mind that this exercise area is one of the most uncrowded along the entire route, so we don't recommend it in summer.
