Pavilhão do Conhecimento Ciência Viva – Lisboa

Visit the Knowledge Pavilion at Parque das Nações It is an activity that we highly recommend for anyone visiting this region – whether with children or not. Inaugurated in 1998, this building has been investing in the dissemination of science, creating a curious scenario, which, above all, makes us question the “how”.

In our case, we had the pleasure of discovering this place by chance – we were in the region, saw the building and decided to take the risk and visit it. However, I must say that we were not at all disappointed. Despite being more aimed at children, adults can also enjoy the incredible (and fun) experiences that take place here.

Regarding the price, the normal adult ticket costs €10, but discounts may apply if they are, for example, students or teachers. The price for children depends on age.

the pavilion of knowledge varies its exhibitions, seeking, above all, to arouse curiosity for science

Regarding the exhibitions, these may vary depending on the time of your visit, so we recommend consulting the exhibitions on the website (here.). Even more, and if you want to be more certain about the visit, you can make an interactive visit online, through the project website.

On the other hand, as experiences change, we cannot compare our experience with that of those who visit this space at a different time. One of the highlights of this visit, which is part of a permanent exhibition, was definitely the flying bicycle: a bicycle suspended a few meters from the ground, balancing on a rope thanks to a counterweight underneath.

Finally, we only recommend that, when visiting this place, keep an open mind and a good mood. These are, therefore, the only conditions necessary to adore this visit!
